Messy house

I have been sick on and off for about three weeks. I got a bloody cold as well as allergys that been messing with me. But I am starting to feel better.

The thing is that beeing sick has made me completly behind on all the things at home. My husband has done his best. But he has about a million more things then homechores to do so it’s a big mess inside the house. It does not help either that we have tenents moving in soon in our old house.. my husband has been clearing out that house and brought thing here instead..

It feels like were ever I look there are a million things put of order and the laundery has taken over our bedroom and upstairs hallway..

Is there any chance there is such a thing as cleaning fairy’s? Because I would really need them right now.. I have started on the washing and the cleaning, but it will take a while, since I am not completely all right yet.

Well that was just a short update from me.. I wish you a wonderful day.

Bye Bye 2019, Hello 2020

Happy New Year! I know this is very late.. I mean we are already 20 days into the new year, but I got the flu on Christmas Eve and had it for almost 3 weeks.. After that life has been about getting caught up with all. But now I finally have a bit more time and I wanted to share a post with you.

2019 is over and it was a good year, for most parts. The year started with me following a dream and moving to Edinburgh to study a term. It was so scary but wonderfully at the same time. The first two weeks where filled with a lot of tears, but I am happy that mu husband made me stick to it. Because studying there was one of the best experiences I have ever had. And I got an amazing friend, Cat, as well.

Under 2019 we moved three times. It fells kind of crazy now, but we moved from Sweden to Edinburgh in the beginning of the year. And then back to Sweden again in the beginning of summer. We actually bought a car in Edinburgh that we drove through Europe to get home to Sweden. It was full of all our things, but it was a trip I never will forget.

Then the weekend before Christmas we moved to out new home. It was really bad timing of us to get the flu at Christmas, because it has meant that we the last couple of weeks been living in our suitcases and boxes. We are slowly getting things in the right places, but we still have a lot of things and furniture left in the old house. And one of the hard things with this is that when you are looking for something and remember that it’s in the other house 30 minutes away, by car.

The view from out front porch the other day.

But I am thankful for 2019. A year I will never forget. Now I am ready for 2020. And I am going to make the year as good as I can. I know my husband and I will have a great year together, renovating our new home to make it more ours.

I wish you all an fantastic, magical 2020.

Locked out, Sunday and Cold

As some of you might know from other posts. I am really clumsy. I walk into furniture, I fall down a lot and most things I do can go wrong. Well let me tell you about yesterday.

So I was having a nice quiet morning in the sofa, listening to music in my headphones not to wake up my husband. I had eaten breakfast and was trying to just relax. When one of my dogs, Oracle started getting stressed and walking and whining. I knew this meant she needed to go out, so I quietly put on more cloths because it was like -4 Celsius outside. And went out with Oracle. So far so good. But when we where back after our walk I drooped my keys down between our stairs and the locked door. Not good. I could not reach it even how much I tired and I could not move the stairs. Not good at all. I tried to keep Oracle quiet while I tried to get a hold of my husband. I tried calling both his work mobile and his private mobile. I tried messenger. I was also knocking like crazy on the door. Both me and Oracle was getting frustrated and cold.

After a while I messaged my brother, because he lives in the same town as us and has a key, but they where not at home. I felt kind of defeated, but then my husband woke up and let us in. Now I can laugh at my clumsiness, but right then I was so mad at myself.

So what can I say. The clumsiness continues. But that is just me. I am stating to get used to it now. And my husband too.

I hope you have an amazing evening.

Not my day today..

It feels like everything that can mess with me is messing with me today. The computer have frozen on me a couple of times today. My usb-stick has locked down, so I can’t ad or change anything on it. I don’t really know how that happened, because I used it yesterday and everything was working like normal.

It’s been raining the whole day here, and this morning I put on the dogs their raincovers, because Zelda hates walking in the rain. This morning was no exception, she walked like 20 meters and then she had done all of her business and wanted to go inside again, but Oracle loves walking and does not care about the weather, so we continued walking. When I got in about 30 minutes later my shoes was wet all the way through as well as my jacket and pants. I also had to pissed of dogs, Zelda because she had to walk in the rain and Oracle because we did not walk as long as we usually does.

This is just a small part of my day. I will not share any more, because it feels like I am only whining, and I don’t want to do that. I have to say that I now have to really cozy dogs that want to cuddle and be close. And I have actually gotten some important things done today, so the day has not been to bad.

I wish you all an amazing Friday evening, and don’t forget that Taylor Swifts new album Lover now is out! I have been listening to it all day long.

19th August

It is a late Monday-post today, but I have been busy with other things this morning. My husband went away for a work project this morning and will not be home for a couple of days. I know that it is a project he will like doing, so I am happy that he gets a couple of days away. I think it is important at times to spend a couple of days apart, especially now that he has so many things. He is working full-time, renovating our new house and helping friends and family.

So this week I will try and get a couple of things done at home that I know will make life easier for him and also I have a couple of surprises for him when he gets home.

I know this was not a motivational Monday post, but I wanted to share what is going on in my life this week. I have so many plans for new blogposts and I plan on writing a motivational Monday post next week. And then trying to stick with it. I have found a lot of really good quotes to keep myself motivated when school starts again in September.

I wish you all an amazing week.

Exam, cloudy head and happy dance

Yesterday I had my Introduction to Law Exam. It was in one of the two new exam halls, that opened this summer at my university. It was really nice and I am actually looking forward to having more exams there. I am not completely sure how the exam went for me, but I did my best. And with two sick dogs for the last week (the dogs are feeling better today) and not that much time to study because of it, I have to be okay with that. If I need to take the exam again I just have to.

Zelda on this mornings walk.

My parents took care of the dogs when I took the exam, and my husband drove me. Which was nice. He is really busy right now, with the new house and work. Next week he is going to go away for work, and he will be gone almost the whole week. But it is the kind of project he loves to do, so that is nice.

Today I have a cloudy head. I don’t really know how to explain it any other way. What I mean is that it feels kind of fluffy in there. Like I’m not completely awake. I usually gets like this after an exam. I think it might have something to do with the fact that for 4 hours yesterday my brain had to work really hard and it needs a break for a while now.

Oracle chilling on the sofa.

So today my head and I have washed clothes (four full machines), done the dishes and vacuumed the house. I also had a kind of happy dance in the living room, because why not. It is important to enjoy life. Sometimes the best is to dance like nobody is watching. And if a neighbor saw, lets say I don’t care. I had a great time.

I have also started reading a new book today. Nora Roberts book The Collector. I have never read it before, but Nora Roberts is one of my favorite writers. The book is real good so far, and I have to admit I have read about halfway through so far. It is hard to put down.

My husband is going to be home late today. He is at my brother and sister-in-law and helping them. I could have gone with, but with the dogs still not all okay and my head cloudy I just don’t really think I am the best company. So instead I will cuddle down in the sofa with the dogs and continue reading.

I wish you all an amazing evening.

Happy Friday!

Today I don’t have any lectures so I will spend the day trying to find good academic articles for essays. I need so many and I might only have about 3 that are good enough so far. But I am not giving up I will find some really good and write kick-ass essays. Or at least do my best. And that is good enough.

The plan for today was from the beginning to go to a shopping center about 22 minutes with bus from here and try and find a spring jacket for me, but my feets hurt and I don’t really feel like walking around shopping then. But we will see I might change my mind later.

But today is a good day and I want to share my happy song right now. Its Simple by Florida Georgia Line. It makes me want to sing and dance. A real happy song.

So, time to find those articles. Have an amazing Friday!

Motivation needed…

So I have been MIA for a while now. I have been stressing over my first assignment that I turned in last week. Then I have taken a much-needed break, from all.

On Friday my husband and I had a date night. We didn’t do anything special on Valentines Day, because I had a late class and I was so tired when I got home. So we made up for that on Friday instead. We went to Giant Lanterns of China on Edinburgh Zoo. It was amazing and breathtaking. I took so many pictures with my camera and we had a really nice time. It was so worth how tired I was when we got back to the apartment. And I would definitely go to that again if I ever got the chance. We already started talking about going back to the Zoo this spring to see the animals. I have heard nothing but good things about Edinburgh Zoo and I hope that all I heard is true. I am not really a fan of keeping animals in cages. There are like two Zoos in Sweden that I actually like, but that’s just because I know how well treated the animals are and I know that animals are not being treated like housepets, but kept wild.

On Sunday we took a two hours walk around the outskirts of Edinburgh. We got pretty high up and had an amazing view of Edinburgh. It was an amazing day to just relax and be in nature.

Today I have no lectures so it will be a study day. I have 4 essays left to write before spring break and a lot of reading. I have been awake now for over an hour, but I am letting my husband sleep in. He could really need it. I have been sleeping bad and having anxiety, and I know that he sleeps badly when I feel like this.

Now I am going to try and get something done and not just sit here on the couch. Have an amazing Hump Day! I will try and get better on updating the blog.

Studying…

I am really bad at posting here at the moment. This week has gone by so fast. I have an essay due at the end of next week and I am on my third rewrite, from the beginning. I am so nervous about this essay because it will be my first one here in Scotland and I want a good grade.

These last couple of days I have been to my lectures and all my free time is being spent studying. And all I want is to eat cookies and sleep. Not so fun for you to read, but its the truth. I have 5 essays to write before April is here.

I love my courses at Campus and I love Edinburgh. I am looking forward to Spring Break when I will have more opportunities to go exploring. Right now my priorities are: Study and take care of my self. To keep my self healthy.

I am going to watch The Voice UK tonight with my husband and just take it easy. That is something I am looking forward to. I love this tv-show and I love the blind auditions. One of my favourite auditions from last week is down below if you want to watch it. Now I am going to study. Have a fantastic Saturday!

Oh, Deer!

I have had migrens since Tuesday. Thats why I didn´t post a Throwback Thursday post yesterday,  But I am starting to feel better now.

Teusday was a wierd day. That morning on my way to campus I almost hit a deer (roe deer). One came running out of the woods and ran in front of the car. I hit the brakes and the car skid a bit and I saw how close I was to hitting the deer. And then another deer came running out of the woods and the lorry that came from the other direction almost hit that one.

I am so glad that I didn’t hit the deer and after I was so shaky. But it was alright and I came to campus in time for my class.

And then when I got home in the afternoon I got a message that Wednesday’s class was cancelled because the professor is sick. So I didn’t have any more classes on campus for the week. It felt so weird. But when the migraine kick in I was glad to not miss any lectures because of it.

Today I am going to post the last Fangirl Friday post for a while. At least until after Christmas. Tomorrow starts Christmas Countdown, as I have written before.

Have an amazing day!
