Trip

My husband and I are currently on a trip to the Higlands. We left Edinburgh yesterday morning. Today we are spending the day on Isle of Skye.

So far the trip has been amazing. Yesterday on out trip here we saw Glencoe and the viaduct at Glenfinnan.

I wish you all a fantastic day!

One week from now…

I will probably be sitting on the sofa in our apartment in Edinburgh. Early Thursday next week we are being driven to the airport. And I haven’t started packing yet. This is starting to stress me… I thought I had a lot more time. The last couple of weeks have gone by so fast.

Today I have washed a lot of clothes and I need to wash a whole lot more. I have the bags at least. We bought 3 new bags a couple of months ago, but I need to buy luggage tags for them.

Do anyone have any good packing tips? I hate packing and I feel like I always miss something when I pack. I started writing a packing list a couple of months ago and I think our bags will be full. I was wondering if I should buy more bags, but we are already taking tree large bags that we are going to check in and we are each going to have a carry-on bag.

Now I have to go and hang laundry. Have an fantastic Thursday evening!

Christmas gift ideas for the Traveller

Do you know someone that loves to travel, but you don’t have an idea what to get them. Here are some tips from me to you. (this is not an ad).

Backpack from Beis. Picture taken from Nordstroms

Travel Multi Function Travel Backpack from BÉIS. I have found them on: Nordstrom or Revolve. Its available in black or beige.  And the actress Shay Mitchells are actually the person behind BÉIS. And if I got this backpack I would be over the moon. And BÉIS have more amazing bags that I will show you next. Way to go Shay! BÉIS has an Instagram page you can follow: BÉIS

BÉIS even have other amazing bags available on Nordstrom or Revolve. The one under this text is BÉIS Duffel bag. It would be perfect for my husband.

I would love to own BÉIS weekend bag that is under this text. I love the colour and how functional it is with the bottom where you can put shoes and it won’t stain what I have in the bag.

Another good backpack is Bobby – Anti-Theft Backpack. I have seen it on Amazon or Bluebox. An Anti-theft backpack is just what you need if you are in a busy city exploring or in the airport.

BÉIS also sells luggage tags and passport holder.  They are available in different colours and you can buy them on as a set on Nordstrom or separately on Revolve.

There are lots of different bags out there that can be a good present for the traveller. I also love: CALPACKS different bag. For example CALPACKS x Jen Atkin 29-Inch Suitcase in Pink. It’s beautiful and seems to be perfect for my needs. You can buy it at: Nordstrom or CALPACKTravle.

Luggage tags are a good Christmas gift. You can buy funny ones or just simple elegant ones, depending on the person who you are going to give them to. On Etsy, you can get customised luggage tags, with names or initials. One of my favourites on Etsy is the shop: CGenius. I just love this shops luggage tags and passport holders with Disney.

Other Passport Holders and Luggage tags can you find about everywhere. Even some grocery stores have them.

And for those long flights, a traveller might like to have a sleep mask. You can buy a normal one coloured one or a more funny one. I will show three examples of funnier ones.

Another good present for the traveller is a Scratch Map so she/he can scratch where they have been. Bluebox has two different types: Scratch Map Original or Scratch Map Deluxe. IWOOT has a few different ones. Check them out here.

And to my last gift idea. Cases and bags from Bag-all. They have bags and cases for all you can possibly need. Shoebags for your bag, cases for make-up and so much more. And they are beautiful too. Another big plus is that you keep your things organized.

Other gift ideas can be: Powerbanks, wireless headphones and travel journals.

Hope you liked my gift ideas. And to clarify this was not a sponsored ad. I just thought what I would want and what my friends that travel a lot say they like. SO NOT AN AD.

Big News!

Now its time to finally tell you the big news! Drumroll… My husband and I are moving to Scotland for 5 months because I have been nominated by my university to study at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. I am so happy. And excited. And anxious.

Picture I took at Heriot-Watt University, summer 2018.

We move at the beginning of January. And for those of you who wonder, the dogs are not moving with us. They will be living with my parents. I am going to miss them very much, but I know they are going to be well taken care of by my parents.

I am looking forward to Studying Abroad. It’s going to be an amazing opportunity for me to learn better English and to evolve as a person. And meet new people.

This summer, my husband and I went to Edinburgh to get a feel for the city and the campus where I am going to study. The city is amazing, and I feel bad for not spending more time there then I did, but I was sick at the beginning of our stay in England. And the Campus has big open spaces and park-like grounds so I think I will like it there a lot.

I hope you all have an wonderful Friday!

My wedding day

A and I eloped. We didn’t want to have a big party where everyone was looking at us when we exchanged our vows. So we did it legally in Sweden at the city hall in Örebro. It took about 10 minutes and our witnesses were my brother, my sister-in-law and my nephew. My brother found out the day before that he was going to witness our wedding. But this is not what we count as our wedding day. My sister-in-law had known about our wedding since September last year, because she helped me with finding my dream dress and planing so they could come with us to England.

We had our real wedding 13 days later, the date that we have in our rings, in Wales in Great Britain. My brother and sister-in-law were our witnesses this time too. It was just us four. And my brother was taking the photos. We had our private ceremony in a grove. It was perfect and everything I wanted it to be. My husbands vow where amazing and I cried. I will remember this day forever.

It was all just what I wanted it to be. And I am really pleased with how we were true to ourselves and did it our way. Our parents got a text in the evening on our wedding day, with a picture and we wrote like: so this happened on our vacation.

We have gotten mixed responses on our wedding, but for the most part, it has been positive.

We had a wedding party to celebrate with our family and friends last Friday. I will write more about it later. And I know I will write more about our wedding later too. It’s one of the best days of my life..

Have an amazing day!

Love, Nea
