Office Christmas Party – Christmas Movie

Last night my husband and I watched the first Christmas Movie of the season, for us. We watched Office Christmas Party, a movie we have never watched before. It was surprisingly good.

It’s Christmas soon and Clay Vanstone (T.J. Miller) is running a branch of the family company. His sister, Carol (Jennifer Aniston) is the CEO and when she comes for a visit to the branch she threatens to shut down the branch, but she chancels the Office Christmas Party. But to impress a big client Clay and his two workers Josh (Jason Bateman) and Tracy (Olivia Munn) throw an epic Christmas party in just a couple of hours. But the party gets out of hand fast.

I thought the movie was funny and not what I expected at all. I will defiantly watch it again.

Hope you all have an amazing Sunday.

Love, Nea

2 December ~ Christmas song of the day

The Christmas song of the day is: It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I love this song. It’s happy and upbeat and the perfect song to listen to while decorating the house or driving in a winter landscape.

The song is written by Edward Pola and George Wyle in 1963. Andy Williams recorded it for his Christmas Album the same year. (source Wikipedia)

Even though I have heard a lot of different artists singing this song my favourite is Andy Williams original version.

But I also like Pentatonix version:

I will listen to both of them today while I decorate the house.

Have an amazing Sunday!

1 December ~ Christmas song of the day

I will try to post a post every day until Christmas about Christmas Songs that I love. I am starting this Christmas Countdown with: Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!”. This song was written by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne in 1945 (according to Wikipedia).

I chose this song to begin with because I really want it to snow outside. I want to have a white Christmas and I don’t think I will see much snow if it doesn’t snow here at home. In Edinburgh will it probably not be snow next year when we move there.

There are a lot of different singers that sings this song. But I have three favorites and they are:

Dean Martin sings: Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

This one is a classic. I have grown up with this version and I love it. It gives me Christmas feelings.

Michael Bublé sings Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I love Michael Bublés vioice and he does this song fantasticly.

Lady Antebellum Sings Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I Love Lady Antebellum and I think their version of this song is joyful and great.

All these songs belong on my Christmas Playlist, but not directly after each other. Tomorrow it’s time for another Christmas Song.

Oh, Deer!

I have had migrens since Tuesday. Thats why I didn´t post a Throwback Thursday post yesterday,  But I am starting to feel better now.

Teusday was a wierd day. That morning on my way to campus I almost hit a deer (roe deer). One came running out of the woods and ran in front of the car. I hit the brakes and the car skid a bit and I saw how close I was to hitting the deer. And then another deer came running out of the woods and the lorry that came from the other direction almost hit that one.

I am so glad that I didn’t hit the deer and after I was so shaky. But it was alright and I came to campus in time for my class.

And then when I got home in the afternoon I got a message that Wednesday’s class was cancelled because the professor is sick. So I didn’t have any more classes on campus for the week. It felt so weird. But when the migraine kick in I was glad to not miss any lectures because of it.

Today I am going to post the last Fangirl Friday post for a while. At least until after Christmas. Tomorrow starts Christmas Countdown, as I have written before.

Have an amazing day!

Whitney Cummings ~ WCW

Women Crush Wednesday is here and today’s WCW is Whitney Cummings. She is a comedian that I love. But she is also someone who cares about animals and other people.

Reasons why she is this weeks WCS:

  • She helped evacuate animals and people from the fires in California, this month.
  • She took it upon her self to give food to animals in need.
  • She took in a badly hurt piglet and is nursing him back to health. His name is Joe.
  • She is very outspoken about what she thinks is right and wrong.
  • She has talked a lot about gun control in America.
  • She co-hosted, with Nikki Reed, a Thanksgiving dinner for people who lost their homes in the fires.
  • She is brutally honest.
  • And she makes me laugh.

And this one is also funny. About Marriage.

Brutally Honest. I just love her.

Mother-in-law ~ Thankful Tuesday

It’s Tuesday and time for Thankful Tuesday. Today I wanted to write about how thankful I am for my Mother-in-law. She is an amazing woman who is a great support to me. She always has time to talk if I need it and she gives me great ideas for so many things.

She helps mend my favourite clothes if (when) they break. She bakes me amazing bread so I don’t have to do it myself. She always thinks about all my allergies when she cooks food. So there is always something for me to eat.

She has raised the wonderful man I can proudly call my husband and I know that as a single parent raising three boys it can’t always have been easy. Especially when she herself hasn’t always been healthy.

I am lucky to have her as my mother-in-law. She cares about me and I know that some of my friends have a hard time with their mothers-in-law, but not me.

I still remember the first day I met her: It was in December 2006. My husband and I had been together for a couple of weeks and she invited me home to her to meet her. I was so nervous in the car on the way there. My husband just walked into the house when we got there and I was standing in the hall taking off my jacket and shoes and I heard her asking him if he came alone. My husband came out into the hall and dragged me into the kitchen. She was really nice and she had cooked a meal that I could eat. And I have gotten to know her over these last 12 years and I am so thankful to have her in my life.

So to wrap it all up. I am thankful to have my mother-in-law in my life.

26th November ~ Motivational Monday

It’s a new week and I have so much on my mind. For this Motivational Monday, I decided to share a quote that I have to remind my self about constantly.

“Think Continually About What You Want, Not About The Things You Fear.” ~ Brian Tracy

Bemuse I live with anxiety, depression and panic attacks, I am afraid of so many things. I am afraid something can happen to my husband, the dogs or my family. I am afraid to faint in public. I am afraid of getting a panic attack. I know this is ironic because having anxiety over this can cause a panic attack.

Sometimes I just have to think about what I want in life and not everything I am afraid of. Everyday is a struggle for me. I have a panic attack at least once a day, but I don’t let it stop me. I know I am better than that. And what I want is to get a degree and I am not going to let my fears stop me.

And if I can do it so can you. You are so much stronger than you believe!

Love, Nea
