4th December ~ Christmas Song of the day

Today’s Christmas Song is: Maybe This Christmas with Sarah Dawn Finer. I think this song is really beautiful and I listen to this song when I am writing Christmas Cards or just enjoying the Christmas around the house.

Sarah Dawn Finer has a beautiful voice and she has done many more beautiful songs.

Hope you like today’s song. Have an fantastic Tuesday!

3 December ~ Christmas Song of the day

The Christmas Song of the day is: Fairytale of New York. It was released by The Pogues in 1987. The song is written by Shane MacGowan and Jem Finer (source: Wikipedia).

This is a song that I always have on one of my Christmas playlists. I think its an amazing song, and it’s not like any other Christmas song. I think The Pogues original version is fantastic. Watch it down below.

And resently I found this veersion with Ed Sheeran and Anne-Marie. And I think this one is also really good. A Youtube-clip on it is down below.

I hope you have an amazing Monday.

Office Christmas Party – Christmas Movie

Last night my husband and I watched the first Christmas Movie of the season, for us. We watched Office Christmas Party, a movie we have never watched before. It was surprisingly good.

It’s Christmas soon and Clay Vanstone (T.J. Miller) is running a branch of the family company. His sister, Carol (Jennifer Aniston) is the CEO and when she comes for a visit to the branch she threatens to shut down the branch, but she chancels the Office Christmas Party. But to impress a big client Clay and his two workers Josh (Jason Bateman) and Tracy (Olivia Munn) throw an epic Christmas party in just a couple of hours. But the party gets out of hand fast.

I thought the movie was funny and not what I expected at all. I will defiantly watch it again.

Hope you all have an amazing Sunday.

2 December ~ Christmas song of the day

The Christmas song of the day is: It’s the most wonderful time of the year. I love this song. It’s happy and upbeat and the perfect song to listen to while decorating the house or driving in a winter landscape.

The song is written by Edward Pola and George Wyle in 1963. Andy Williams recorded it for his Christmas Album the same year. (source Wikipedia)

Even though I have heard a lot of different artists singing this song my favourite is Andy Williams original version.

But I also like Pentatonix version:

I will listen to both of them today while I decorate the house.

Have an amazing Sunday!

1 December ~ Christmas song of the day

I will try to post a post every day until Christmas about Christmas Songs that I love. I am starting this Christmas Countdown with: Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!”. This song was written by Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne in 1945 (according to Wikipedia).

I chose this song to begin with because I really want it to snow outside. I want to have a white Christmas and I don’t think I will see much snow if it doesn’t snow here at home. In Edinburgh will it probably not be snow next year when we move there.

There are a lot of different singers that sings this song. But I have three favorites and they are:

Dean Martin sings: Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

This one is a classic. I have grown up with this version and I love it. It gives me Christmas feelings.

Michael Bublé sings Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I love Michael Bublés vioice and he does this song fantasticly.

Lady Antebellum Sings Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

I Love Lady Antebellum and I think their version of this song is joyful and great.

All these songs belong on my Christmas Playlist, but not directly after each other. Tomorrow it’s time for another Christmas Song.

Christmas Countdown

It’s less than a month away till Christmas is here and I decided that I will be doing a Christmas Countdown because I love Christmas and I want to share that with you.

My plans are for the Christmas Countdown to go from the 1st of December to the 25th of December. Every day there are going to be at least two Christmas Countdown post, that will be about different things. Movies, music, gift ideas and probably some of my own Christmas stories and traditions.

Under December month I will try to continue with my Motivational Monday, Throwback Thursday, Self-care Saturday and Situation Sunday post, but the others will take a break at least until after Christmas.

I hope you like this idea. And if you have any requests or ideas of what you want to see on this Christmas Countdown, please get in touch.

Love, Nea
